Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It is the fourth most populated city in India. It was known historically as a diamond and pearl trading center situated on the banks of the Musi River. Hyderabad was entrenched in by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah who governed the region for about a century before the Mughals conquered the region. The town developed mainly during the sovereignty of the Mughals and the Nizams of Hyderabad that announced their independence from the Mughals.

Hyderabad remained the heart of the princely State of Hyderabad during the British Raj and is known for its exceptional monuments, cuisine, history and culture. It became a center of arts and culture during the 19th century and is the headquarters of the Telugu film industry known as Tollywood. Regardless of the several tourist spots in Hyderabad, the city’s climate stays dry and warm all year round with hot and severely humid summers. For the visitors, it often becomes important to find a way out of the heat and sweat to revitalize body and mind from the bustle of the city. Ananthagiri Hills

Most of the times confused with Ananthagiri situated in Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh, Ananthagiri Hills are situated in Telangana nearby a small town known as Vikarabad. The hills and the milieu forests are also famous as the place from where the Musi River emerges. The hills are located in the Eastern Ghats at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and offer some magical views of the forests. It is a totally non-commercialized area and Ananthagiri hills are at its best during the monsoons when one can experience the surrounding clouds and the green hills.

Araku Valley

Araku Valley is a portion of the Eastern Ghats Mountain Range and is situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Renowned for being an attractive tourist place and a mainly coffee producing agricultural town, Araku valley is at an average height of 912 meters above sea level. The climate at Araku valley is cool and temperate throughout the year and provides a splendid retreat from the heat. Nallamala Hills

The Nallamala Hills introduce to a section of the Eastern Ghats situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The hills are located at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level and remain mostly uncovered with several native and antagonistic tribes that live within the intense corners of the forest. While the temperature remains hot and muggy during the summers, the winters in Nallamala Hills are pleasurable and cool. You can also visit the famous Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve that obtains a big portion of the hills and the surrounding forests. There is a long list of places to visit in Hyderabad, but right now you just need to head out towards the unexplored hills of this city.
